What an email spam checker should test
A useful spam score checker should look at more than trigger words. Inbox providers consider technical setup, sender reputation, content patterns, links, HTML structure, and recipient expectations.
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and alignment.
- Subject line risks such as all caps, hype, and repeated punctuation.
- Link density, URL shorteners, image-heavy messages, and missing plain text.
- Blacklist and sender-domain reputation signals.
